Frequently Asked Questions
What type of dogs do you accept for boarding and training?
We accept all breeds of dogs for our Puppy Head Start Program, Board & Train Program and for boarding. We also accept unaltered (not spayed/neutered) dogs.
Does my dog need to be vaccinated before coming to RTK?
Yes, we require all dogs to be up to date on the following vaccines: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough). If your puppy hasn’t completed all of their vaccinations before starting the Puppy Head Start Program, we’ll arrange the remaining vet appointments with our veterinarian. All vaccinations and health related expenses are the responsibility of the puppy owner.
What should I bring when dropping off my dog?
Please bring proof of up to date vaccinations, your dog’s food if you are not using our kennel’s food, and if applicable, clearly labeled medication. You can bring your dog’s leash, but this is not required.
Will my dog get playtime while staying at RTK?
Your dog will be able to enjoy supervised group playtime with compatible dogs, according to size and temperament in one of our secured, grassy outdoor areas. If your dog does not interact well with others, your dog will have individual one-on-one playtime.
Can my dog just board for the day?
Yes, we offer day boarding! It’s a great option for high-energy dogs who need a place to play and burn off some energy, dogs with separation anxiety, or those who require medication during the day while you're away. Day boarding is also ideal if you're expecting guests for the day or having work done at home and need a safe, comfortable place for your dog to stay.
